Contract of Sale

Packing & Delivery Charges:

UK Mainland, Inner Zones

  • £4.00 + VAT (£4.80) for small letter box packets by post.
  • £10.50 + VAT (£12.60) for tracked parcel by carrier.
  • £21.00 + VAT (£25.20) for larger tracked consignments by carrier. Charges are capped at this rate, we pay the additional charges so free to customer.

Islands & UK Outer Zone Postcodes AB, IV, HS, FK, KA, KW, PA, DD, PH, ZE, BT, IM, TR21-25

  • £4.00 + VAT (£4.80) for small letter box packets by post. Larger consignments by carrier are calculated by postcode during checkout.

Many online sellers hide the costs of packaging and delivery by inflating the price of products. We do not. We make every effort to keep Packing & Delivery charges as low as possible, in most cases it is only a contribution towards the true cost of labour, packaging materials, associated overheads and delivery charges.

We only deliver within the U.K.

Customers in ROI may want to use AddressPal by AnPost to forward deliveries.
Customers in CI may want to use Ship2Me to forward deliveries.
We are neither affiliated with these freight forwarders nor accept liability for goods shipped with them.

Order Process, Delivery and Lead Times:

Orders are placed in our production line order processing queue after we receive cleared payment.
It is not possible to change orders or payments after orders are confirmed.
We are unable to offer same day or next day delivery.
Please be patient while we process your order.
We always dispatch our orders as soon as possible but in busy periods there is an expectation of a long order processing queue.
Many items are not off the shelf and are manufactured to order.
Orders are dispatched with a 1-2 working day delivery service although transit and delivery times cannot be guaranteed.
Allow up to 30 days for delivery but contact us if orders are not received within 15 working days after dispatch.

Accepting Delivery:

Customers are responsible for being available to accept delivery by carrier.
Liability for any loss or damage of goods passes to consignees at the point of delivery.
Deliveries by carrier must be checked and signed for to confirm delivery in good condition.
Adding the word "DAMAGED" to the signature is necessary even if damage is only suspected so that any damage is verified/witnessed by the deliverer otherwise claims cannot be verified and cannot be accepted.
Do not refuse delivery otherwise claims cannot be verified and will not be accepted.
Deliveries may be left by the carrier at the consignee's risk if the consignee is not available to accept delivery.
Claims for loss or damage are not accepted when a customer has signed to confirm receipt without damage or where a signature has not been obtained because a customer is not available to accept delivery.

Any claim for shortage/wrong item must be made to us by email within 24 hours of delivery otherwise claims are not accepted.
Providing any damage has been verified/witnessed by the deliverer, any claim for damage must be made to us by email within 24 hours of delivery together with photographic evidence to clearly show damage to the item and damage to the external packaging.

Insurance for damage to glass items, liquids or wax foundation is not possible so these can only be dispatched at buyers risk.
If delivery is refused or delivery is not possible, the order will be considered cancelled - read Cancellation below.

Stock Availability:

If an item is temporarily out of stock it will be highlighted on the product page and in your shopping basket. Contact us for an update.

Prices:

All prices and charges are in GB£ Sterling and include applicable VAT - Registration Number GB 121 820 749.

Payments:

Payments can be made by card or bank payment.
Card payments are securely processed.
We do not take payments by telephone.
Bank payments can be paid though your bank or online banking service. The details needed to pay into our account will show when you checkout.
Orders are not processed until payment has been received.
We cannot change your order or payment after you have confirmed and paid.

Security:

We are a PCIDSS compliant business. The Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS) is a set of security standards designed to ensure companies that accept credit cards maintain a secure environment.
In compliance with these security standards:

  • We do not accept card payments by telephone.
  • Card payments made on our website are processed and encrypted by a 3D secure payment provider.
  • We never see your card information so it is never stored by us anywhere.
  • All pages on our website are also encrypted for your security - you will see the padlock in the address bar when you log in.

Privacy:

Any personal details you give are only used to complete an order and delivery. Your contact details and email address will be passed to the carriers by necessity. We never otherwise share any of this information.

Cancellation:

Excluding livestock, clothing and items made to order, orders can be cancelled and returned to us within 14 days of delivery for a refund.
A request for a return authorisation from us must be made by email before returning orders within 7 days.
The customer is responsible for returning orders unused, unworn, undamaged and packaged as they were received ready for resale otherwise they will not be accepted or refunded.
Orders returned as undelivered are treated as cancelled.
The customer is liable for all 3rd party costs of delivery, return, payment and refund.
The 3rd party cost of delivery and return (if order dispatched before cancellation), card payment fee of 2.9%+75p and card refund fee of 2.9%+75p will be deducted from any refund.

Livestock, Nucleus Colonies and Packages:

It is not possible to deliver Nucleus Colonies and Packages, they are for collection only and are supplied in accordance with the terms included in the description of the product. Collection dates are entirely dependent on nature, the bees and the weather so it is not possible to accommodate collection dates requested by customers. Customers are notified by email of collection date. Uncollected livestock is not refundable.
